If you think you don’t need a content marketing strategy, let me tell you that I was thinking the same way.
I learned in a harder way that it was a necessity. Especially for us with ADHD who need structure, no matter how spontaneous we want to be. I know, it’s not just that we want to be spontaneous and improvise, but sometimes we struggle with creating, even more sticking to the plan.
These nine tips for creating a content marketing strategy are ADHD-friendly, and I’m confident to tell that at least most of them will help you.
Create a winning content marketing strategy.
Understand your audience
Before you start creating a successful content marketing strategy, you first have to understand your target audience. Who are they? What are their pain points? What kind of content will they find valuable?
By understanding your audience, you can create content that resonates with them and helps to build trust and establish your brand as a thought leader in your industry. Big brands like Coca-Cola and Nike are the best examples of understanding their target audience.
Coca-Cola targets a wide range of audiences, understanding that their audience is looking for a refreshing and uplifting experience, so they create content that focuses on the fun and joy of enjoying Coca-Cola.
Similarly, Nike targets active individuals, understanding that their audience is looking for inspiration and motivation to stay active and healthy. That’s why they create content that focuses on fitness, wellness, and the power of sports to change lives.
The best practice is to watch your target audience through one person who would represent your ideal buyer persona. You can define demographics like age, sex, and similar, but that part is less important. Instead, you should focus on their way of thinking, their fears and pain points, and deep desires. Nobody will share any of these with others, so you have to put in a greater effort to learn that.
Set clear goals
Before you begin creating content, define what you hope to achieve with your content marketing efforts.
Are you looking to increase brand awareness, generate leads, or drive sales? Once you have a clear understanding of your goals, you can create a content strategy that aligns with those goals and helps you measure the success of your efforts.
Tools like Google Analytics can help you track your website traffic, engagement, and conversions, which can help you understand how your content is performing and where improvements are needed.
Create a content calendar
A content calendar is a fantastic tool for keeping track of your marketing efforts and ensuring that you stay on track with your content marketing strategy. By planning out your content in advance, you can ensure that you’re constantly creating content relevant to your audience and aligned with your goals.
There are many tools for creating a content calendar, but here are my suggestions:
- Trello: a project management tool that allows you to organize and plan your content in a visual and easy-to-use format.
- Asana: allows you to plan and organize your content, track progress, and collaborate with team members.
- Google Calendar: simple and easy-to-use. It allows you to create and manage a content calendar and all other business activities.
Invest in quality content
The quality of your content is just as important as the quantity. Investing in high-quality, well-researched content will help you establish your brand as a thought leader in your industry and will help build trust with your audience.
There are several ways you can find freelancers to help you with creating high-quality content for your business:
